WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?
With the result of a positive pregnancy test, you have three options to consider. We are here to help you consider which option is best for you and your circumstances. At Pregnancy Center West we will provide you with accurate information on these choices.

ABORTION
You may plan to have an abortion but are unsure about what that means for you. We will help you answer questions such as:

What type of procedure will I need?
What are the risks?
Will I have to miss work?
Do I really want an abortion or am I doing it for someone else?
Do I feel my life will be over if I have a baby?
Are there any emotional side effects with abortion?

We will listen and help you think through your personal situation. There are options available if you are not ready to parent a child.

PARENTING
News of a pregnancy can be overwhelming, especially if you weren’t planning to become pregnant. It may seem impossible to become a parent right now, but you still have questions about it and wonder if you could make it work. It’s important to assess your personal situation and consider things such as:

My boyfriend doesn’t want the baby but I do.
I want to have the baby but I can’t afford it.
I don’t have any insurance.
I want a baby but not now.
How can I continue my education or career?

We have trained counselors who can help you focus on your strengths and assess your anxieties.

ADOPTION
Thinking about what is best for you and your unborn baby is important. Adoption may be and option for you as you make a plan for your life. Questions and thoughts about adoption can be overwhelming and we are here to help you consider:

I don’t feel right about abortion but I don’t want to be a parent.
Can I back out of an adoption decision?
Would I be okay having someone else raise the baby?
Would I be able to choose the adoptive family?
Does choosing adoption make me a bad person?

Pregnancy Center West can help you work through the similarities and differences between abortion, adoption, and parenting. It’s important to understand the difference between a birth parent and a life parent and what that means for you and the baby.
